Option 1 – 10 day block release course

This nationally recognised qualification is designed for those needing a good knowledge
of health, safety and welfare in order to discharge their duties in the workplace.
Such people include managers, supervisors, safety representatives and others involved
in employee safety.

The course syllabus is divided into sixteen units and includes:
  • Health and safety foundations and policy
  • Promoting a positive safety culture
  • Risk assessment and control
  • Common hazards to include fire, work equipment and construction activities
  • Incident investigation, recording and reporting
  • Monitoring review and audit

The course is provided over a period of 10 days plus one-day revision and exam time. SSG consistently achieve well above average pass rates.

Option 2 – Distance Learning Route

SSG networks with RRC to offer the NEBOSH National General certificate as a distance learning option. The study material, provided by RRC, is supported by an assigned tutor from SSG who will offer support and guidance for the entire duration of study. SSG’s specialist subject tutors will also be available to answer any questions the candidate may have throughout the study period. The package includes:

  • An initial meeting with one of SSG’s NEBOSH tutors to discuss the study programme in detail
  • RRC study material
  • On-going support and advice
  • Two-hour revision session
